Itinerary Day by day details

Day 01: Arrive Delhi –Amritsar (480kms/ 9Hrs)
Welcome to AmarnathYatra tour!You will be greeted by Muktinath Yatra representativeon arrival. Board the Coach (09:00 PM) and drive to Amritsar. Overnight Journey.

Day 02: Arrival Amritsar & Sightseeing
Morningarrival at Amritsar, check into hotel. After fresh up and breakfast proceed for full day city tour with the blessings of Golden Temple-the most important sikh shrine which is also called Mecca for the Sikhs is a living symbol of the spiritual and historical traditions of the Sikhs. Then visit JallianwalaBagh- where, on April 13, 1919, British and Gurkha soldiers opened fire on an unarmed forbidden gathering, killing hundreds of civilians. Evening visit Indo-Pak Wagah Border to watch Flag Retreat Ceremony. Atari (Wagah)an army outpost on Indo-Pak border 30 Kms from Amritsar which is famous for daily evening beating the Retreat ceremony. Soldiers from both countries march in perfect drill, going through the steps of bringing down their respective national flags. As the sun goes down, nationalistic fervor rises and lights are switched on marking the end of the day amidst thunderous applause. Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Amritsar – Jammu – Katra (260Kms road/ 6 kms )
Morning after breakfast transfer to Jammu & Visit Famous Raghunath Temple, later drive to Katra for overnight stay

Day 04:Katra-Vaishno Devi –Katra( 12Kms Trek/ 4hrs)
Early morning transfer to Banganga (for trek route) trek starts from here to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine (12 kms), Start to ascend on trek route either by walk or pony/doli (at own cost). Helicopter service is also available for Sanjhichhat, so one can take helicopter to Sanjhichhat(at own cost). AfterDarshan return back to Katra, overnight stay at hotel.

Mata Vaishno Devi temple is one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Shakti ,Indian Spiritual tradition has propounded four Purusharth (objectives) of a human life. These being Dharm (Righteousness), Arth (Material Pursuits), Kaam (Contentment) and Moksh (Enlightenment). Shri Mata Vaishno Devi is believed to grant all the four boons to those who visit Her Holy Shrine. She is considered to fulfill anything and everything that a person wishes for in life, in a righteous way. It is an experience of all, that no one goes empty handed from Her Great Pilgrimage,

Day 05:Karta - Srinagar (300 Kms/ 10 Hrs)
Morning after breakfast transfer to Srinagar, the journey will take you through breath talking mountains, forests covered with pine trees and Asia’s longest Tunnel (Jawahar Tunnel) on arrival check inn at Hotel, overnight stay at hotel

Day 06:Srinagar-Sonamarg– Baltal (95 kms/ 03hrs)
Morning after breakfast transfer to Sonmarg, Known as the 'Meadow of Gold', Sonmarg is set amidst a valley of flowers and lakes. The word “Son” literally means “Gold” in Hindi, and this golden beauty covered with white snow is most attractive in the spring. The exotic flora of the region is nurtured by the Sindh river. Sonmarg is the gateway to Ladakh& serves as start point for Yatra to Amaranth, The dense forests of Sonmarg comprise of sycamore and alpine flowers, silver birch, fir and pine. The place is frequently visited by nature lovers in the search of tranquil peace and soothing natural beauty. The enchanting beauty of the towering snow clad mountains is a real treat to the eyes. Later transfer to Baltal, on arrival check inn at Tent, Overnight stay at Baltal.(Tented accommodation)

Day 07:Baltal – Amarnath Cave - Baltal (19kms Trek/6 Hrs)
Morning you have to leave for Holy Cave for Darshan along with your Yatra Registration Pass. After Darshan return to Baltal, overnight stay in Baltal in tent, you can reach to the cave by pony/palki (at own cost) In case of late, you can stay in Panjtarni at own cost

Day 08:Baltal -Sonamarg–Srinagar(95kms/ 03 hrs)
Morning drive back to Srinagar visit Kheerbhavani Temple, SaradaTemple, Mughal Gardens, NishatBagh, Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.

Day 09:Srinagar –Gulmarg -Srinagar (52 kms/2 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Gulmarg, also known as the 'Meadow of Flowers'. Enjoy a fun-filled pony ride and gondola rides (on direct payment), Gulmarg is primarily famous for its golf course with 18 holes and has one of the best ski slopes in the world, later drive back to Srinagar. Dinner &overnight stay at Gulmarg

Day 10:Srinagar –Patnitop - Jammu (300kms/10 hrs)
Morning after breakfast transfer to Jammu En-route visit Awantipura Ruins (an 1100 year old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and built by King Awantivarman, later drive to Patnitop& visit beautifully located Nag Mandir& beautiful parks. theater drive to Jammu& check into hotel. Overnight at Jammu

Day 11:Jammu – Delhi (580 Kms/ 11hrs)
Today a bid farewell of Baba Barfani Tour, after breakfast drive to Delhi,here tour ends with happy memories to becherished forever. Arrival at Delhi (10:00 PM).Tour Concludes.

  • If due to any reasons beyond our control like landslide, traffic jams, flood, riots, political unrest, bandhs, helicopter unavailability or bad weather conditions, accidents or any other natural or man-made misfortunes, program will needed to be changed or extended. The additional expenditure for the same will have to be borne by the passengers directly.

  2. Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) to be issued by anyone from the list of the state / UT wise
    authorized doctors / Medical Institutions - Doctor/ Medical Institution
  3. Valid Photo IDs: -Valid Passport / Driving License / Election Card / Pan Card / Photo Id issued by Govt. PSU and School Photo ID

USEFUL INFORMATION:

  1. Your journey shall involve trekking across high mountains, facing strong cold winds. You must carry (i) adequate woolen clothing; (ii) a small umbrella (preferably one which is tied with an elastic band around your head and supported by a strap around the chin); (iii) windcheater; (iv) raincoat; (v) waterproof trekking shoes; (vi) torch; (vii) walking stick; (viii) cap (preferably a monkey cap); (ix) gloves; (x) jacket; (xi) woolen socks; (xii) trousers (preferably a waterproof pair). These items are essential as the climate is highly unpredictable and changes abruptly from sunny weather to rain and snow. The temperature can sometimes abruptly fall to 5 degrees Celcius or lower.
  2. For Ladies: saree is not a suitable dress for the Yatra. Salwar Kameez, pant-shirt or a track suit will be better. Ladies who are more than 6 week pregnant shall not be allowed to undertake the pilgrimage.
  3. Keeping in view the tough nature of the trek, children below 13 year in age and elderly persons above the age of 75 years shall not be permitted to undertake the pilgrimage.
  4. You must strictly follow the instructions issued by the Yatra administration, from time to time.
  5. Don’t stop at places which are marked by warning notices.
  6. Don’t attempt any short cuts on the route as doing so would be dangerous
  7. Earth, water, air, fire and sky are integral parts of Lord Shiva. The Base camp and the entire Yatra routes are the abode of Shri Amarnathji. Throughout your pilgrimage you must respect the environment and do nothing to pollute it.
  8. All waste materials must be placed in the nearest dustbin. All organic wastes must be put in the dustbin which is green coloured.
  9. Postpaid connection required in Jammu& Kashmir sector. Please carry the postpaid mobile connections.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • If the reservation is cancelled 30 days prior to the date of arrival - 90% may be refunded
  • If the reservation is cancelled 15 days prior to the date of arrival - 50% of the may be refunded
  • If the reservation is cancelled 07 days prior to the date of arrival - 25% of the may be refunded
  • If the cancellation is any later than the above stated period or in case of 'No Show'- No Refund
  • No refund or any changes will be accepted at last minute for tour starting or after starting or middle of the tour.
  • Above are the cancellation rules but we will put our best possible effort to waive/minimize the cancellation charges
