29th March 2013

After a good night’s
rest we were all excited and a little sad at the same time that today will be our last day in Nepal on this trip. We finished our breakfast and left for JAL NARAYAN Temple. Suresh gave us an insight into the history of this temple. Several centuries ago, there lived a farmer BUDHI NILAKANTHA who while farming his field one day hit upon something and he saw blood oozing out. When he dug further, he found the full statue of Swami Jal Narayan. This also explains the fact that this temple is also called as BUDHI NILAKANTHA temple. We had a very good darshan of the Lord and felt truly blessed.

After a good lunch at the same hotel where we had our dinner for the first time in Kathmandu ie last Friday we took a casual walk around the streets of Tamel and did some nice bargain shopping aided hugely by Suresh who was always around to help and bargain for us. We returned home to the hotel to pack up everything and leave Nepal with fond memories and some very good relationships built over this week with Suresh and Mr Mahadev. Looking forward to visiting this place again in the not so dista.
