Jungle Safari Experience in Chitwan

By Madhavan Ram Prasad :

We woke up after a nice
and sound sleep but a little late compared to the time we had to start the considering the scheduled activities for the day. We also had to change to another room that took us some more time. Nevertheless, we had a good breakfast and left for Chitwan National Park. We started the day canoeing through the river across the jungle during which we saw many crocodiles. Later, we went to the elephant breeding centre where we saw the rare twin elephants amongst many that were in the centre after which we went for a good long jungle walk. We finished our walk to realize how hungry we were and it was just the right time when we returned to the resort for an excellent lunch. After lunch, we rested for half an hour and then started again at 1.30 pm for a much looked forward to experience of an elephant ride in the jungle. The ride took approximately an hour and 15 minutes during which we were lucky enough to spot 2 Rhinos and many deer. On returning back to the spot where we started, we bought some souvenirs of Buddha before returning to the resort by 4 pm. The rest of the evening was given to us for relaxing. We watched an excellent sunset as we were having the evening tea at the restaurant which was located by the riverside after which we had an evening walk. We had an early dinner at 7 pm and ended an eventful and fun filled day.
