24 October, 2014 - Drive back to Kathmandu and Sightseeing of Kathmandu Durbar Square

This is our penultimate day of the Tour de Nepal. We started our journey back to Katmandu from Pokhara, through the scenic mountains of Nepal. The journey, lasting five hours was anchored by the experienced driving companion, Manoj, who needs special mention and thanks for bringing us safe to every destination, particularly to Pokahara and back, which is real challenge to the driving skills. Manoj was very courteous with a smile, that would make every one adore him. He really made us very comfortable during long distance driving. After we reached Katmandu, we went to Darbar square and the adjoining museum with numerous temples around, built during “Malla” dynasty- a world heritage site. With detailed explanation from Mr.Sharma, we were able to appreciate the immense importance of these spiritual and cultural monuments, that were built more 500 years ago. We also had the Dharshan of living Goddess “Kumari”.  With that, our Day 6 ended with opportunity witnessing the Diwali celebrations all around Katmandu, which is truly a rich experience, thanks to MuktinathYatra.
