Char Dham
Char Dhams are the sacred temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu’s avatars. The four sacred temples are Badrinath, Rameshwaram, Jagannath Puri and Dwarka which are lies separately  in four directions of India. The Char Dham ‘Thirthyatra’ is known as Mahaparikarma.

As mentioned in Hindu’s Purans Lord Vishnu after completing  his duty of  preservation  bathes in Alakananda river at Badrinath, dresses in Dwarka, eats meal in Jagannath Puri and rests in Rameshwaram.

Badrinath: This Shrine is located in right bank of Alakananda river at an attitude of 3,133 meter in northern Indian state Uttarakhand. There is 15 meters high temple of Lord Vishnu in cone shape, which was built by Adi Guru Shankaracharya. In this temple Narayana is worship in the form of Lord Vishnu.

Rameshwaram: Rameshwaram is the name of holy island. It is the place from where Lord Ram built bridge to rescue Sita from Ravana. This Pilgrimage is famous for hindus. It is said that the pilgrimage to Benaras is incomplete without the pilgrimage to Rameshwaram. This pilgrimage is also popular as ‘Benaras’ of south.

Rameshwaram is situated in southern Indian sate Tamil Nadu. In this pilgrimage lord Ram is worship as the incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

Jagannath Puri: This pilgrimage is lies in Puri of eastern Indian state Orissa, where Jagannath is worship in the form of Lord Vishnu. It is one of the tallest shrine in India. Jagannath Puri temple is 214 feet height from ground level. In four directions of this temple there are four gates which are know as Lion gate, Horse gate, Elephant gate and Tiger gate. It is said that Pancha Pandav passed some time during their exile in this place.

Dwarka: This holy place is situated in the west coast of Gujarat  on the shore of Arabian sea. Mainly in this place Lord Krishna is worship in the form of Lord Vishnu.Dwarkadesh temple, Rukmini Devi Temple, Gomati Ghat temple are some famous temples around this shrine.
